Molly’s diary: Thankful and longing

cranberriesandmead.jpg

How fitting, somehow, that my birthday falls on Thanksgiving this year. One year ago today I unveiled my mirror and invited you to look with me.

I have been quieter than usual, I know.

I am still here, thankful, and yearning for more.

There will be more.

Soon.

For this moment, though, I leave you an offering of mead and berries: Feel the cool sweet liquid slide down your throat. Roll the cranberries around in your mouth before you pop them with your teeth and release their tart juices. Swallow slowly.

Balance yourself, delicately, on the knife edge that separates satiation and longing.

Wait for me.

  1. Oh Molly, I’m so sorry I missed your birthday.

Happy (belated) birthday, may you spend the majority of the next year happy, sated, comfortable, and naked.

    Kisses,

    all’vus

  2. [...] Rachel and Molly, my sincerest apologies for being a self-centered butthead, for not reading other blogs more [...]

  3. Don’t you worry your pretty head about it JanieBelle. I’m taking my time in celebrating so you’re hardly late at all!
